Mikaela Frias
Teen Ambassador STOMP Out Bullying

Mikaela_Frias.jpg

Mikaela Frias was born in the Philippines, raised in Guam, and now resides in Washington State.  She is a happy person; whenever you look at her, she is most likely flashing a smile. In addition to being her happy self, she loves making others happy as well. She also enjoys dancing, reading, and traveling. Being an active teen on almost all social media platforms, she regularly checks up on people. For instance, if someone tweets that they are having a bad day, Mikaela will make sure to message them to see if they need someone to talk to.

During her years in middle school, Mikaela went through a few bumps in the road with her classmates. After gathering enough courage, she and her peers were able to rekindle their friendships. Going through an experience such as this, she wanted to make a change.

As she enters her senior year of high school, she will be Community Service Representative of National Honor Society, as well as Vice President for her local Key Club. With these responsibilities, she hopes to spread the message of compassion to everyone.

As National Junior Honor Society President, Mikaela planned great school activities and hoped that she could help individuals find courage within themselves.

As freshmen and sophomore Class President, Mikaela not only made sure her classmates were doing well in school, but also made sure they were being kind to each other. Moving from Guam, a small island, to Washington, a big state, she knew her junior year in high school would be completely different. For a while, she was frightened because there was nothing familiar around her. Sooner or later, she figured that she really had nothing to worry about. Mikaela’s goal is for everyone to see how courageous, amazing, and kindhearted they really are.

One of her favorite quotes is from a Broadway star named Sierra Boggess: You are enough. You are so enough. It’s unbelievable how enough you are.
