In order to increase awareness of the impact and prevalence of bullying on kids and teens, Lion Brand Yarn Company is excited to announce the anti-bullying campaign #HatNotHate. The purpose of this initiative is to rally consumers to knit or crochet blue hats and wear them proudly on World Day of Bullying Prevention, October 1, 2018, and throughout all of October, which is National Bullying Prevention Awareness Month.

New York, NY, February 21, 2018 … STOMP Out Bullying is profoundly saddened and deeply distraught over the school shooting on February 14th at the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. Seventeen people were killed, when a shooter identified as Nikolas Cruz opened fire on his former school. At least 14 others were wounded. Cruz is in custody and charged with 17 counts of premeditated murder.
