Youth Leader STOMP Out Bullying™

Kurtis Elfring is in the eighth grade and lives in Chandler, Arizona. He was born in Germany, where he resided for five years before moving to Belfast, Northern Ireland, for two years, and then relocated with his family to the United States. He is a passionate baseball player and currently plays on two competitive 14U AAA baseball teams.

A dedicated junior high school student, Kurtis is on the Honor Roll and is a member of the National Junior Honors Society. He is also a member of the Impact Chandler Scholars Program, where he is working to earn and record 100 hours of community service by his senior year of high school.

Kurtis enjoys volunteering at local food banks and continues to give back in this way as much as possible. He is also a member of his school’s UNICEF Outreach Club which supports various local needs and activities in the school’s community.

Kurtis is also an active member of Huskies Helping Huskies, a school club focused on being kind and helpful to fellow students, with a primary goal of assisting any homeless and underprivileged students at the school with basic living needs. The club helps introduce local students to social work services and supplies and other resources available at the school.

Working together in the spirit of community, the club also aims to help its student members become more aware of, educated on, and compassionate about the needs of the underprivileged population at school.

With his love for gaming and baseball, Kurtis is particularly interested in helping to end cyberbullying and bullying in sports. He believes in educating youth on how to be a safe digital citizen online and is committed to always being a good sport, serving as an example both on and off the field.

Kurtis is excited to be selected by STOMP Out Bullying as one of its Youth Leaders. He is grateful for this opportunity to help and wishes for an end to all bullying.
